WHY INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS?
Terry J Atkinson spent years working in Human Resources for corporate clients, such as Coatney West and The New York Times, gaining experience on all aspects of HR across multiple industries. She realized her most fulfilling moments were assisting her clients in the academic community. So, to provide a greater breadth of services, expertise, and commitment, she started her own consulting firm, HRAcademia, specializing in Human Resources management for independent schools.
HRAcademia has grown to a team of professionals committed to staying on top of the changing legal and academic environments, while using best practices and innovative solutions to create a positive workplace for all.
We believe that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging should be at the forefront of education and we value the LGBTQIA+ community. Our goal is to build strong relationships with schools that will truly benefit from us. We are known for being able to engage quickly and pivot to meet urgencies.
