HRAcademia was born out of two undeniable passions. First, a commitment to the field of Human Resources as one in which, at the end of the day, it is about doing the right thing every day and doing it with joy and a positive impact. Second, doing what we do in the very specialized niche of working with independent schools. The latter was born out of personal experience. After many years of working “in-house” as a Human Resources and Operations executive, I decided to start my own business.
At the start, I had the fortunate experience of working with two independent schools who had merged into one. They needed assistance in merging the people aspects of their new school. It was an amazing and rewarding opportunity. With this opportunity I realized how unique independent schools are relative to their Human Resources needs, how critical it was that they have HR support, and how many independent schools simply do not have the budget or need for a full-time on-site HR professional. HRAcademia was born to fill that need not only as a cost-effective resource, but as a resource that brings expertise and professionalism second to none, and a deeply rooted understanding of the cultural and administrative needs within the independent school community.
